PSOPRS members Dr. Gary Mercado, Service Chief of Ocular Oncology/Retinoblastoma Clinic at the Philippine General Hospital and Dr. Andrei Martin, Head of Ocular Oncology at St. Luke’s Medical Center, talked about retinoblastoma during the LEAP program of the Philippine Society of Pediatric Ophthalmology last June 9, 2021. Retinoblastoma, being the most common intraocular tumor in children, should be watched out for as early treatment can save lives, eyes and sight.
Dr. Andrei, who is a fellow of Dr. Carol Shields, shared his pearls and basics in retinoblastoma in a very entertaining way, one to be remembered with his humorous “superhero antics”. And Dr. Gary definitely opened our eyes to the exciting future in the management of retinoblastoma.
