The first PSOPRS Round Table Discussion for the year was conducted online with the support of the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology (PAO) last March 22, 2023, featuring presentations from ophthalmology residents as well as orbit and oculoplastic fellows-in-training. Dr. Lorenz Jacob Mangahas with adviser Dr. Dr. Charisse Sanchez-Tanlapco of Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center (ITRMC), presented several cases of eyelid trauma, their approach and management. Dr. Patrick Quezon, current orbit fellow of University of the Philippines, Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH) showcased eyelid tumor excision cases and various reconstructive techniques, with the guidance of his esteemed adviser, Dr. Alex Tan. We had a stellar panel of PSOPRS members, special guest and renowned international oculoplastic surgeon, Dr. Mohammad Javed Ali, of LV Prasad Eye Institute, India and our reactor for the evening, Dr. Franklin Kleiner, known for his reconstructive experience. The discussions were full of practical pearls and advise on the challenges in managing eyelid trauma, tumor removal and surgical reconstruction. We are grateful for the immense support of the members and residents in training. Following the RTD, the first general membership meeting of the society for the year with the leadership of Dr. Yvette Marie Santiago-Gatmaitan was held.
