On December 1, 2022 (Day 2) of the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology 2022 Annual Meeting, the Philippine Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (PSOPRS) held its session on “Management Options for Anophthalmia and Microphthalmia”. The session was chaired by Dr. Reynaldo Javate and co-chaired by the current President of PSOPRS, Dr. Charmaine Ang.
The session started with Dr. Mary Rose Pe-Yan’s lecture on Serial Conformer Fitting, followed by Dr. Yvette Marie Santiago-Gatmaitan’s lecture on Myoconjunctival Enucleation. Thereafter, Dr. Mark Imperial shared his experiences with Fornix Reconstruction and the session ended with Dr. Gabriel Bunagan’s lecture on Dermis Fat Graft. The session was truly informative and interactive, especially with our own senior PSOPRS members sharing their own techniques in managing cases discussed by our lecturers.
