Philippine Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the Academy for Head and Neck Oncology of the Philippines together with the support of the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology conducted their LEAP webinar “Crossing Borders: Joint Management of Sino-Orbital Disease”.
Our very own PSOPRS members, Dr. Armida Suller discussed about bacterial and fungal orbital infections. Dr. Gabriel Bunagan talked about the five facts on mucocoeles. Orbital infections treated with early intervention and multidisciplinary involvement are the key points for successful management outcomes. Mucoceles on the other hand, if diagnosed early may prevent devastating complications.
Reactors from the Academy for Head and Neck Oncology of the Philippines included Dr. Arsenio Cabungcal and Dr. Rey Malahito, who gave very informative surgical management treatment options of sino-nasal infections.
Our guest speaker, Dr. Paulyn Gaddi, discussed also interesting information regarding Sino-nasal malignancies. Dr. Alex Sua also shared his expertise and valuable insights with regards to detail and understanding on sino-orbital malignancies.
