The first incoming fellows’ paper presentation was held last May 10, 2018 at the DOH Eye Center, East Avenue Medical Center. Two candidates for fellows presented their first of two papers and were well accepted by the fellows and members present. The first lecturer was Sandy Worak-Tan who showed her study on “The Central Tarsal Height of the Upper Eyelid in Asian Patients as Measured Prior to Surgery.” The second paper was presented by Joran Ranche and was entitled “Retinoblastoma Cases Seen by a Philippine Ophthalmic Pathology Service from 1998-2002: A Laboratory-Based Retrospective Review.” Both fellow applications need one more paper to present to complete their status as fellows of the society.
