A different take on Food for Thought: Fundamentals in Orbit and Oculoplastics with Diagnostics. Last May 12, 2019 our Ophthalmology Department at Cardinal Santos Medical Center conducted it’s 22nd Postgraduate course in this theme which was held at the Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila.
Featuring esteemed PSOPRS faculty of speakers Dr. Roseny Mae Singson, Dr. Franklin Kleiner, Dr. Mark Imperial, Dr. Christine Santos, Dr. Marco Tumalad, Dr. Margarita Bondoc, Dr. Jacqueline Mupas-Uy, Dr. Andrei Angbue-Te and yours truly. We are fortunate to have invited A/Prof. Yip Chee Chew from Singapore, a past president of the Asia Pacific Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (APSOPRS), as our featured international guest speaker.
Our program content included lectures on useful oculoplastic procedures for general ophthalmologists as well as specialized topics on oculofacial trauma, tumor management and reconstruction. Putting principles to practice, we capped the activity with a hands-on workshop on suture and flaps with A/Prof Yip and Dr. Kleiner as our leading mentors sharing much of their insights and tips in eye plastic surgical finesse.
